Hi, I'm Shelby! As a certified educator with more than 15 years of combined tutoring and teaching experience, I've had the privilege of teaching students with a wide range of learning styles and abilities. I created Little Light Academy because I believe children thrive in small, relationship-centered classrooms where they are truly known. My goal is to combine strong academics with practical life skills so students grow into confident, capable learners.

Sarah Whitney

Hi! I'm Sarah, a certified teacher with a Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education and an SEI endorsement. I have 10 years of teaching experience. Early childhood education truly has my heart, and I especially love working with students in kindergarten through 3rd grade. I offer personalized tutoring that meets each child where they are while making learning engaging, encouraging, and fun.

Mary O’Brien

Art Educator

Hi! I'm Mary and I bring the heart to art! I graduated with a BS in Art Education and a BA in Painting and Mixed Media in 1999. I have had years of experience teaching all ages, K–12 and even adults. Every age group brings something very special and I enjoy the time prepping for little ones as much as watching older students really sparkle with experience. I am thrilled to be able to offer art classes in such an intimate setting and truly be able to meet your child where he or she is at, and then inspire growth.
